Who the Friends are

We’re people just like you, who help support the Library and its programs through our annual dues. Some of us take a more active role in planning and running fundraising and other events. We would welcome you as a Friend either way; it’s up to you how big or small a role you’d like to play.

What the Friends do

The Friends organize events throughout the year to raise funds for the Library. These funds sponsor concerts and reading programs and pay for museum passes, language resources, supplies for children’s programs, books and graphic novels for young adults, videos, CDs, DVDs, large-print books, and more (as you can see in the next column). Our two main fundraising events are the wildly popular annual Book Sale in October and Wine Tasting in April. We also look for other ways to raise funds for the Library through fun community events, and we would welcome your ideas!
