The Friends of the Malden Public Library is a community organization intended to assist the Library in realizing its mission. We invite you to join us in helping in this important endeavor through activities such as book sales, book readings and discussions, concerts and art exhibits.
The Friends organize many events throughout the year to raise funds for the Library. These funds sponsor book readings and discussions, concerts and art exhibits, museum passes, supplies for children’s programs, books and graphic novels for young adults, videos, CDs, DVDs, large-print books, and more. Our two main fundraising events are the wildly popular annual Book Sale (in October) and Wine Tasting (in April) each year. The Friends meet at the Library on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm (September through June) to plan these events, which ultimately support Library programs, materials, equipment, and services.
